What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from your Google account. We also track how many recasts you use each day so we can enforce free tier limits.

The text you paste into Recast is sent to our AI provider to generate the rewritten version. We do not store the text you submit or the results you receive.

How we use it

Your email address is used to authenticate your account. Your daily usage count is used to enforce the free tier limit of 5 recasts per day. That's it.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use your submitted text to train models. We don't send marketing emails unless you specifically join the Pro waitlist.
